Some pictures from this weekend's trip to Pike Place Market, and one of our new plants newly planted (bird's nest fern).
I'm getting a thyroid scan this Friday, prior to which I need to observe a low-iodine diet for one week (in addition to getting some other fun things like thyroid-stimulating injections and taking a radioactive iodine pill). Iodine is in pretty much everything (all dairy, all soy, all seafood, anything processed in any way) so we've been having to cook a lot of vegetable-heavy stuff from scratch using kosher non-iodized salt. Looking forward to wrapping up this week of medical fun so I can start eating normally again Friday afternoon. At least I can still drink beer and wine!
